Leoni BoltAbout me

Let’s keep it real here!

I’m not going to tell you I was born to do this, and it was all I ever wanted to be when I grew up. Like most people I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life! I used to work in hospitality and incessantly travelled the world without a care or responsibilities. That’s where I found my WHY! I didn’t care about how much stuff I owned, or if I wore the nicest clothes, or even if I had bad hair and no makeup. What I like to collect is memories and experiences. When I’m old I want to be able to look back and remember all of the amazing experiences I’ve had and all of the beautiful people I’ve met along the way. Memories are the one thing that you have for your entire life. We don’t always remember all of our experiences, so preserving them as best we can lets us hold them tight and treasure them.

One day I decided it was time to come back to my roots, do some study and start a ‘grown up’ career. I studied a Bachelor of Photography at Griffith University (Queensland College of Art), graduating in 2008 and I officially became the memory collector!

My original plan wasn’t to settle down in my home town. I wanted to travel the world and get paid to do it, maybe work for National Geographic, but while I was a uni student I met my now husband. Then we got married – and had kids, and life’s little journey brought me here, and I wouldn’t change a thing! Over the years I have worked with some amazing people, and have developed my craft and my own style. My passion in what I’m photographing may change with where I am in my own life, but the end goal is always the same. I am always trying to be a better photographer, businesswomen, wife, mum, sister and friend. I hope you can share in my journey too!
